Trianima – re:colored: Sound Colors Between Classical and Modern Music
“re:colored” is a musical exploration of color, emotion and contrasts. With harp, clarinet and cello – an unusual and richly colored combination – Trianima reinterprets classical and contemporary works, giving familiar pieces a surprising new sound. Trianima builds bridges between classical music, jazz and modern music: well-known works such as “La La Land” and “In the Hall of the Mountain King” are presented in a fresh new guise. A special role is played by Gilad Cohen’s original composition Trio for a Spry Clarinet, Weeping Cello, and Ruminating Harp, which adds another dimension to the program. At its heart is Fabio Devigilio’s commissioned composition: re:colored.

The chamber music ensemble Trianima consists of three musicians – Isabel Goller (harp), Johanna Gossner (clarinet) and Marilies Guschlbauer (cello) – who met in Vienna. With their extraordinary combination of clarinet, harp and cello, the musicians aim to bring new and exciting repertoire to the chamber music stage. Clarinetist Johanna Gossner contributes significantly to Trianima’s distinctive sound through her own arrangements, adapting works for this unique instrumentation and creating a repertoire that is unmistakably their own.
The name “Trianima” reflects the essence of the ensemble. It derives from the musical term “con anima”, meaning “with soul”, combined with “tri” for the three musicians. The name symbolizes the passionate and soulful musicianship of the three artists, who seek to deeply move their audiences through their music.
