Kulinarium
A new dining option is currently being created in the west wing of the castle, perfectly complementing the overall Heinfels Castle experience, which consists of a museum, events and cuisine. Renovation, planning and construction work has been underway since March 2025, so that we can welcome our guests with the highest standard of cuisine from the end of April 2026.
The new restaurant is a further step in the revitalisation of the castle complex. In close cooperation between Loacker and the Heinfels Castle Museum Association, a place is being created that combines culture, history and enjoyment – and is developing into a central meeting place in the upper Puster Valley.
Two different but interconnected dining options are being created in this historic setting:
"Rittersaal" and "Bistro" – Daytime & Event Catering:
At the level of the castle courtyard, around 100 seats in the ‘Rittersaal’ (knights' hall) and the adjoining room (“Bistro”) invite you to enjoy regional specialities, seasonal cuisine and relaxed dining. The ‘Rittersaal’ is also available for events of all kinds and seminars.

The ‘Tavern’ – an experience in the vaulted cellar
Within the castle's deep walls, a unique dining experience with 80 seats is being created – an atmospheric location for cosy evenings, special occasions and culinary discoveries in an extraordinary setting.

Our culinary philosophy
Marco Perez, managing director of the ‘Kulinarium Burg Heinfels’, focuses on quality, regionality and authenticity: ‘We want to offer cuisine that combines the highest quality and regionality – while remaining affordable.’ The focus is not on awards, but on authentic, good food in a unique historical setting.

Working at Heinfels Castle
With the expansion of the catering facilities, the castle will be open all year round for the first time – a new, reliable workplace in the region. Anyone interested in becoming part of this project can find current job vacancies at: www.jobs.loacker.com
