We open on May 1!

The outdoor areas of Heinfels Castle can be explored on your own during opening hours as part of the panoramic tour. Along the castle wall and the traffic circles, vistas and unusual views of Heinfels Castle open up. Via the castle courtyard and the tower with the more than 500-year-old stone, artfully curved spiral staircase, guests reach the chapel roof, the ruins and those who are free from giddiness finally the highest tower of Heinfels Castle - the keep!

As soon as it is possible again, our trained guides will again lead through the entire castle complex, through chambers, parlors and halls: Authentic history and moving stories with castle models, films, radio plays or animations for young and old guests are made vivid. The journey through time begins with the legendary battle of the giant Haunold against the Huns. It continues with the everyday life in a castle and ends with the only storming of Heinfels Castle during the peasants' revolts. The art-historical highlight is the castle chapel of St. Lawrence.
