Wir öffnen am 1. Mai!

The outdoor areas of Heinfels Castle can be explored on your own as part of the panoramic tour during opening hours. Along the castle wall and the roundels, vistas and unusual views of Heinfels Castle open up. Via the castle courtyard and the tower with the more than 500-year-old stone, artfully curved spiral staircase, guests reach the chapel roof, the ruins and those with a head for heights finally the highest tower of Heinfels Castle - the keep!

Our trained guides will again lead you through the entire castle complex, through chambers and halls: Authentic history and moving stories with castle models, films, audios or animations for big and small guests are made vivid. The journey through time begins with the legendary battle of the giant Haunold against the Huns. It continues with the daily life in a castle and ends with the only storming of Heinfels Castle during the peasants' revolts. The art historical highlight is the castle chapel dedicated to St. Lawrence.

In summer there is again a varied programme of events with activities for the whole family, concerts, sporting competitions such as the Count of Castle. The popular evening openings take place on Thursdays during the summer months.
